The cappuccino was excellent and they currently give you the choice between three beans for your espresso: June, Domestique, and Red Bike. The ham and cheese croissant is delicious, buttery, and flaky. The ambiance here is top notch. This clearly used to be a home. And each of the different rooms on the first floor now contain cozy seating options. Plenty of comfortable seating options. The back area behind the coffee shop has been built out into a fantastic back deck and pergola. They have even built a little stage! Hopefully some nice musical acts out there at some point. They have string lights all over the place, so I am looking forward to seeing what it's like out there during the evening. And they have a full bar! Their current cocktail selection is impressive. The Catch No Feels is refreshing and perfect for this summer weather. And the old fashioned was very good, though it would have been even better on a big, single ice cube. And the staff here was so personable and helpful. We will definitely be back. And everyone needs to check this place out. My only gripe is that the prices are a tad bit high. But that's par for the course lately. And if the service and quality are spot on, then I think it's worth it.
This place is amazing. Huge croissants and amazing coffee. When it comes to an atmosphere, you will not find a more unique and esthetic cafe. Smooth jazz in the morning and different styled rooms to fit your taste. This is a must-have must go! They even have live music at times. Also, coffee straight from Irondale.
House Eleven was a wonderful surprise. I found it while in my way to another's location. I'll definitely go back.
I’ve been too lots and lots of coffee places in town. This is officially the nicest. It’s a restored historic home made into a coffee shop, so there are several individual rooms where you can have coffee and work or whatever. There’s also live music outside and a beautiful area with a pergola and small deck. Lots of space and seating everywhere. Truly, a standout place.
Every city I go too, I try all kinds of coffee shops, not only here but abroad. This was hands down the most inviting and elegant feeling coffee shops/house that I have the pleasure of being in. From the smell as u walk in the door, to the barista asking what type of beans that u would prefer with drink, I love dark, the coffee came out fabulous. also the layout is inviting you to come in and spend a while, enjoying the art, music, experience. when I’m in Birmingham again I will for sure be spending some more of my time here. It was a great way to finish off the trip.
Great atmosphere for a coffee shop to either hang or get some work done. Super nice outdoor space in the back and a nice front porch. It used to be a house and it shows in a good way. There are a few nice different rooms that feel tucked away and there is ample seating with tables to get work done. Great coffee drinks and pastries (from Last Call Baking). I'd image the cocktails are great as well in the evening.
I stopped by here with a family member for coffee. There isn’t a lot of signage so you have to know where you are going if you want to stop by! However when one walks in, the place has a nice ambience, with a lot of sitting areas that looked quite cozy. We sat at the bar, which was just behind the entry. The cappuccino was $5. It was pretty good! The staff were also quite friendly. The croissants looked really good, but the pain au chocolat at $6 was really steep I thought. The bar also looked well stocked. I’d definitely come back in the area, either for coffee or a drink!
House Eleven is such a beautiful and eclectic place. We were there in the evening for drinks, they serve coffee etc during the day and have gorgeously appointed rooms/ salons for quietly reading, gathering with friends or just wandering through to soak in the atmosphere and antiques. They had a DJ spinning when we were there with pleasant tunes and not too loud to drowned out conversation. Excellent staffing with friendly barkeepers and a fun and an interesting clientele! Do check it out! It's definitely a new jewel in area worth enjoying!!
As a first time customer, I arrived on a rainy day for a lil afternoon pick me up. I had intended to take my order to go but it was so cozy inside I decided to stay and relax. So glad I did! The beats playing over a clear and clean sound system were an unexpected bonus - kudos to the house!
I found this place about 2 weeks ago and it is by far one of my favorite coffee shops that I've been to in Birmingham. The atmosphere is so perfect for studying or getting work done. Great for light conversation. I got the Golden tee and a ham and cheese croissant. Both were delicious.
